@Fishy Fingers. Good insights from you. You reminded me that games released for a console launch often sell brilliantly no matter what they are because buyers are looking for anything. Ubisoft for sure would have the games and physical discs complete and at retailers for November, so getting the official date from Microsoft means they can ensure their games are ready for launch day. Also, the threat of Cyberpunk 2077 is massive so trying to get out ahead of that with Watch Dogs definitely mak...
Microsoft wasn’t able to have an exclusive ready for launch so was able to ‘partner’ with Ubisoft to use marketing rights to look like they have exclusives. Well played Spencer, well played.
With that statement endorsing the Xbox and the AC release date change, we now know whose pocket Ubisoft is in. In other words Microsoft paid big to arrange this to fill the gap from the Halo Infinite delay.
@LoveSpuds. After 25 years Nintendo are re-releasing one of the best games in history. However it doesn’t have a widescreen enhancement, which is standard in 2020 and would fill the Switch screen. It’s something the company could have done that respects their customer and the original game by making it suitable for modern audiences without changing its aesthetic style.
It sounds like you are a Nintendo simp who cannot critically evaluate the quality of a product because of...
This is why Nintendo can throw in a lazy port of Super Mario 64 and it does not make a shred of difference because they can get away with it. The larger gaming press is complicit in their silence.
@LoveSpuds Thanks for the concern fella, I hope you're well too. It hasn't been the best year for multiple reasons, but everyone has their own challenges, things could be worst. I'm just looking forward to Autumn and then Christmas, hopefully with at least one new console.
I have an Xbox One X with Game Pass. If I spend, maybe, £500+ for an Xbox Series X there will be no exclusive games for it. I will be able to play some third party games like CoD and AC Valhalla over my Xbox One X. It will be a bit better but is really £500 better? Just ONE exclusive would have helped the cause.
This year has been hard on me financially and I'm not sure yet if I will buy both consoles. What I'm thinking is if I get the PS5 there will at le...
Ten games which Gameranx puritanically tries to tell gamers across the world they are 'gratuitous', and that because its staff believe them inappropriate and doesn't like them you shouldn't either
STOP.
I can almost hear the ResetEra/Kotaku/Polygon hate mob planning a coordinated social media campaign against this for being 'anti-consumer.'
"Phil Spencer Is Pushing To Get More Third-Party Games On Xbox Game Pass"
Well, he's not had much success with organising his division to get first-party exclusives ready for the Series X launch. The sad thing is professional video games media like The Verge or IGN or blogs like Gameranx refuse to do what real journalists do and ASK QUESTIONS. About why he has been in charge of Xbox since 2013 and hasn't been able to coordinate a range of games for launch?...
@b16301 Why not?! People live routine lives with small social circles, because of this many people meet their future spouse at work, why should that be banned?
ELEVEN pages for what could have been written on ONE. This is pure clickbait trash, it’s time to ban GamingBolt from N4G.
I don’t know about this, on one hand Phil Spencer is asked question about the product of his business rival and appears to answer in a good natured manner. But it’s done in a way that emphasises the merits of the Series X cooling, and then says Sony’s approach with PlayStation 5 is different hinting at not as good. He thinks the Series X approach is better he should have the balls to say it, not play with words to be a nice guy and make a low key dig.
GamingBolt goes back to its bread and butter off producing articles that lowkey criticise PlayStation. For any other website this would be perfectly valid piece, but GamingBolt normally does this to balance out news it doesn’t like.
When PlayStation was receiving a ton of praise for its SSD it produced articles criticising it!
The whole article is a defence piece of Microsoft and sales pitch for Xbox Series One. I get that Ryan McCaffrey is the IGN Xbox editor but he should be more objective, he is not a journalist.
Xbox Game Pass offers great value however library games that are already available on current Xbox consoles are not going to be a draw to a new next-gen console. Microsoft must show one big exclusive that will be out this year for Series X. As things stand it looks like Phil Spencer and Microsoft are not properly prepared for the next-generation.
HOLY-MOLY. What exclusive game will be the big draw for Xbox Series X at launch?
So Sony coined two phrases that have now been adopted across the industry, Cross-play and remote-play.
'I hate Fall Guys'
Fine, don't play it. Don't write a whole blog post about your trauma!
Gears Tactics is the exclusive launch title?
